Make Father’s Day Personal

It’s that time of year again;  Father’s day.   Give him a gift he can literally call his own.

Brands have been starting to offer bottle personalization, some engrave their bottles with your personal message, other send you the label in the mail for you to attach to the bottle.  Either way, it sure beats the cliché shirt, tie, or cologne.

Johnny Walker Blue – Scotch

They’ve been doing this for a while, usually around the holidays you can find some locations where they can engrave your recently purchased bottle on the spot.  If you live in the Chicago area, Binny’s Beverage Depot offers engraving on-site for a limited time.  Check binnys.com for details  Though you  are limited to the amount of characters in you message (With twitter being a global phenomenon, you’re probably used to that) the gold lettering on glass is beautiful and tasteful.

The Famous Grouse – Scotch

The Famous Grouse Scotch has a personalized label maker on their site (click here) One thing to note is that when ordering a customized bottle, some bottles are restricted to delivery within the United Kingdom.

Knob Creek – Bourbon

This is another online custom label application where you type a personal message and they print and send you the label.  They do remind you to keep it clean and reserve the right to refuse your request if you don’t.  Apparently some customers may have daddy issues.  There’s no cost for the printing.  You can find the application here.
