Campfire Martini

Hello again.  A lot of times I find myself getting inspiration for a cocktail from different adventures.  One of my best flavor memories from childhood is toasted marshmallow.

Very simple to make.  Only three ingredients in the cocktail and two of them we will make at home.

All you will need is:

  • Vodka
  • Burnt Caramel
  • Marshmallow Syrup
  • Over-proof rum

To create the effect made from grilling the marshmallow on open fire we burn the caramel on purpose,

And mix it with some marshmellow syrup, vodka, and a touch of over-proof rum for the garnish ( as you will see on the clip- the second cocktail)

On pupose burnt caramel

  • 3 oz of white sugar
  • 2 oz of water

In a small pan put the sugar on high heat until turning dark add the water and stirr until sugar dissolve in them.

Marshmellow syrup

  • 3 oz of white marshmellow
  • 2 oz of water
  • 1 oz white sugar

Combine all ingredients in a suace pan and simmer until dissolve

Strain from foam.

To make the cocktail

Soak 1 wooden skewer in water and place one marshmallow on it.

In a shaker

  • Put 2 oz of vodka ( or vanilla vodka if you want, I also saw smirnoff is making a marshmallow vodka, but I never tried it)
  •  1.25 oz of marshmallow syrup
  • 0.75 burnt caramel

Float 2 barspoons from the over-proof rum and ignite, place the marshmallow skewer
