Because we can’t get enough of Miami, we have more news to share with you. One of our favorite hotels, the Metropolitan by COMO – located in the “it” neighorhood of the moment, Mid-Beach – is hosting a new brunch menu at their signature restaurant, The Traymore. In his (fairly) new position leading the kitchen, Chef Juan Loaisiga is turning out seasonal seafood dishes sure to make any foodie swoon. We’re going for the Maine Lobster Toast, Eight Hour Braised Short Rib, and the Oysters with passion fruit mignonette.
The part I like most about the Metropolitan is that it stays true to the health and wellness component of its family locations, yet doesn’t neglect its locale, which is felt throughout the property and restaurant in its original Art Deco style and seafood-inspired menu.
Another aspect we love is The Traymore Gin Bar (read more here), the city’s first gin bar. Featured gin-based drinks made specially to complement menu items include the Met Breakfast Martini (Hayman’s Gin, Combier, orange marmalade, lemon) and English Garden (Bombay Sapphire Gin, cucumber puree, St-Germain, lime).
