Holiday Cocktail

Each year the fine folks at Buzz+ Bloom Honey share their fantastic cocktail recipes just in time for the holidays. Whether you enjoy them to take the edge off or toast these special days ahead with friends and family, they are sure to be festive and fabulous.

You can feel good about making these drinks with Buzz + Bloom, not only because they are of superior quality and lend superfood properties, they support the American Community Gardening Association.

The association focuses its efforts on the development and upkeep of local gardens. They believe “a world with more flowers to pollinate is beneficial to the honeybees, and adds a touch of beauty to the everyday.”

Last year they shared a tree trimming tequila-based cocktail recipe and this year you can try the Nor’Easter Cocktail using the floral-forward Orange Blossom Honey, which adds a touch of welcomed sweetness to the warming ginger notes.

Because we recommend sharing this with a friend, you can double this recipe.

Nor’Easter Cocktail – Serves 1

2 ounces bourbon whiskey

1/2-ounce fresh squeezed lime juice

1/2-ounce Buzz + Bloom Orange Blossom Honey

1 teaspoon finely grated ginger

2 – 3 ounces ginger beer

lime slices for garnish

Combine bourbon, lime juice, honey, and grated ginger in an ice-filled shaker, and shake 1 minute. Strain over ice in a rocks glass. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a lime.

Cheers and hoping your holidays are happy and enjoyable ones.
